Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Session Flow ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Session Flow, you agree to be bound by these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use Session Flow. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.

3. Description of Service

Session Flow is a focus timer and productivity application that helps users structure deep work using customizable session flows. The App requires iOS 18 or later. The App offers both free and premium (Pro) features, including:

• Focus timer with customizable session flows
• 10 pre-built presets (Pomodoro, Deep Work, Flowmodoro, etc.)
• Custom flow creation with Focus, Prep, Short Break, and Long Break blocks
• Progress tracking (focus time, streaks, session history)
• Live Activities on Lock Screen and Dynamic Island
• Session reminders and notifications
• Detailed statistics and insights (Pro)
• Focus Blocking via Apple's Screen Time API to restrict distracting apps during sessions (Pro)
• Post-session reflection with mood rating and session notes
• Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets (Pro)

4. User Accounts

Session Flow does not require an account. You do not need to create a username or password. All your data is stored locally on your device. Your data may be included in your device's iCloud backup if you have iCloud backup enabled.

5. In-App Purchases

Session Flow Pro is available as a one-time, non-consumable purchase (Lifetime Pro). By purchasing:

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• This is a one-time purchase that unlocks Pro features permanently
• The purchase supports Family Sharing, allowing up to 5 family members to access Pro features
• You can restore your purchase on any device signed into the same Apple ID

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Session Flow to:

• Engage in any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to circumvent any security features of the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App in any way that could damage or overburden our infrastructure

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Netlify – for processing feedback submissions. Use is subject to Netlify's Terms of Use.
• Apple – for in-app purchase processing (via App Store), iCloud backup, and Live Activities. Use is subject to your Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
• Apple Screen Time API – for Focus Blocking functionality (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings). Processed entirely on-device per Apple's frameworks. Subject to Apple's privacy practices.

I am not responsible for the practices or policies of these third-party services.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content, is owned by me and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any custom session flows and notes you create within the App.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. I do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. The App is intended as a productivity tool and does not guarantee any specific results in focus, productivity, or time management.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, I shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the App.

11. Changes to Terms

I reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. I will notify users of significant changes through the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Termination

I reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that I believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or third parties.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Apple App Store Terms

The following terms apply to your use of the App through the Apple App Store:

• These Terms are between you and me, not Apple. I am solely responsible for the App and its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the App.
• Apple is not responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied. I am solely responsible for any claims relating to the App.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, or claims under consumer protection or similar legislation.
• Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of any intellectual property infringement claim.
• You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the App.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

15. Your Data Rights

You have the right to request deletion of your data at any time. See my Privacy Policy for details on how to exercise this right and what data is collected.
